Street Smart Essentials
This is Tsunami’s fundamental civilian defense program. You’ll learn how to spot threats early, enforce boundaries verbally, and apply physical techniques suited for real threats—not choreographed assaults. Sessions are structured with repetition, scenario work, and pressure testing to build usable reflexes. Offered as co-ed, men-only, or women-only, Street Smart Essentials is the building block for all further training.
Street Defense For Women
This program is tailored to women’s experiences and modern day safety concerns. We train you how to better trust your intuition, detect unsafe situations, and act decisively when threatened. Drills, scenarios, and principle based learning emphasize movements women can execute confidently under stress. Instructors ensure everything is usable, empowering, and pressure tested. Street Defense for Women isn’t about fighting — it’s about staying safe, setting boundaries, and walking through life with more confidence. No prior training required — just the desire to protect yourself.

Reduce the Risks
Reduce the Risks is a women’s-focused seminar that blends awareness, boundary-setting, and physical self-defense to help prevent and/or mitigate sexual assault. You’ll learn how to recognize warning signs, use your voice with confidence, and apply self defense moves to escape dangerous situations. This empowering class is designed for women of no or all experience levels and is an excellent training for high school and college aged women to take before going away to school as well as during the school year.
Tsunami K.I.D.S.
This program gives children (and their parents) tools to stay safer in everyday life. Using games, role-play, and interactive drills, Tsunami K.I.D.S. helps kids learn to trust their intuition, speak up, and avoid or escape risky situations. While safety is our priority, growth in confidence, discipline, and empowerment is the ultimate goal. Kids walk away feeling safer, stronger, and more assertive.

Self Defense For Seniors
Criminals often look for “easy” targets—this class changes that narrative. We teach older adults how to shift that perception through awareness, body mechanics, and defensive strategies aligned to individual ability. The training centers around stability, escapes, and managing threats without risking injury. Some lessons incorporate mobility aids like canes, and drills respect pace and safety. Seniors leave feeling more capable, confident, and prepared.
